Stanwell Moor to have its own Heathrow Campaign Website!
As the Sell to Heathrow Campaign continues to grow and is adopted by the residents of Stanwell Moor, the campaign website will launch in June 2018. The website is our "ONLINE FACE" and a hugely important visual reminder for Heathrow/BAA and Local Government.
This site markets our campaign, presents the strength of support and publishes campaign news. It is an important online tool to ensure that the feelings of our residents and our case for Stanwell Moor's inclusion into the Wider Property Offer Zone [WPOZ] is heard by everyone.
It was agreed the site and its management would be subsidised by donations from residents. However that was dependent on at least 80% of our registered members to make a donation, to-date less than 12% of residents have. I must point out that donations are not obligatory, residents can still view the information you can find on this site, only certain parts will be restricted for those who have donated.
Residents who want to support STH can donate whatever they can afford. Donations will be a "one-of-donation" for each property. Funds will allow me to develop and manage the website. Purchase marketing materials and tech services, keep everyone informed on the various stages of the campaign and continue to run the campaign on your behalf.
Everyone know I started and funded the campaign myself, however do you know it takes over 60-hours of my time each week and it has done for the last 9-months. The work that's already been done and continues to need to be done has become full-time. Running the project has seriously impacted my income, however I knew this would happen but I did not anticipate by how much.
Even if 'every home donated' it would not pay me back my investment but I knew that when I started out on this journey and it wasn't my motivation. However I have to inform everyone that I'm approximately £25,000 out of pocket and I'm getting to a point where I can no longer afford to continue to do this without the majority donating, or having a serious fund-raiser to allow me to continue to fight for Stanwell Moor!
Everyone now knows that STH is the ONLY reason Heathrow is now negotiating with us after years of weak representation and being ignored. STH has 'political support' at all levels. The campaign has been front-page news and packed-out events have already happened. We are having director-level meetings with Heathrow Airport Ltd (HAL). Our case is undeniable and we believe we're on the verge of achieving our goals for everyone on this village.
*With 70% of homes on the village now "REGISTERED" our next target is to have 400 homes signed. As we continue to make Heathrow Airport admit to the blight they have caused and we have suffered for decades. We want Heathrow Airport and our Councils to deliver better services, better facilities, less blight and FINALLY compensation for Stanwell Moor residents!
JUST SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS:
*We've been on the Front Pages of several newspapers!
*Our Westminster MP Kwasi Kwarteng fully supports us and at a recent meeting he told me he's confident about Stanwell Moors case for inclusion into the WPOZ!
*Spelthorne Council now supports us and is requesting Heathrow include us in the WPOZ!
*Heathrow is now fully engaged with us and we're having meetings at Director level!
STH Campaign is getting Stronger Every Day. - And our Case for Inclusion is Undeniable!!
THIS IS A CAMPAIGN FOR EVERYONE.
SO WE NEED "EVERY RESIDENT" TO SUPPORT IT!

Concept, Timeline, Consultation
CONCEPT AND TIMELINE: Frustrated by the way this village "has been treated for decades" I started work on a concept where everyone on Stanwell Moor could potentially be included for Airport compensation. Realising another 'public consultation' was back on the agenda, I set about building a concept in my head into a campaign. - *A month later I presented it to some villagers to ask if they thought it would be supported?
THE CONSULTATION: The response was very positive and the campaign was welcomed by everyone.
*This was welcome news, after an intense month of "design, development and research work", all fitted in between my own job.
Decision
DECISION: It was decided a 'community website' where people could have a say should be built.
1) The site should be (subsidised by residents) to pay for the development, running and management of the website.
2) What is fair for a website that could potentially provide so much value? While figures like £50 to £100 and £200 were put forward, I suggested that probably £20 per household (if everyone donated) would cover website costs would be fair and affordable for everyone.
TO DATE: Out of (340+ registered homes) only 45 homes have paid this small sum and while those payments are appreciated, I am really disappointed, as I've funded everything. I invested thousands in cash and in man hours to get us to where were are today and STH has become a full-time job for me!
It's now clear that people are not going to donate and any donations that have been received equate to approximately 20% of my initial investment much less my ongoing monthly outgoings. So the £20 donation option is suspended with immediate effect and I will have to consider in I can afford to continue.
Headlines
THE PRESS: By the 22nd February 2018 we had front page articles in the Surrey News and we also appeared on their online Facebook platform. We have been published front page and page 3 of the Chronicle & Informer and then on the 10th March 2018 we again had Front Page in The Informer!
Our Westminster MP Kwasi Kwarteng now supports us. Spelthorne Council supports us, and STH is in direct negotiations with Heathrow Airport. The old SMRA resigned and we now have a NEW RA that represents the majority of the village and I can announce the "NEW RA, 100% SUPPORTS STH". With STH and Heathrow in positive negotiations, we have a "once in-a-generation opportunity" to ensure we get the best for our community.
However, the entire project timeine and other important campaign developments and headlines are published below for everyone to read.
Support
SUPPORT: Under the "Sell To Heathrow" banner and with a lot of hard work, we have become a "Very Strong Community Group" for blight relief and compensation Stanwell Moor and we are now one that Heathrow is "UNABLE" to ignore. So given that winning could add £100,000 to the value of homes (based on an average value) of properties on the village, irrespective of whether you go or stay it had to be done.
*SO TELL ME if you agree and you back the campaign by simply making a donation of whatever you can afford to help develop and manage the website. *Residents who rent, or who have a limited income, are pensioners are not required to donate, each donation is a personal choice!
*With your support "WE CAN WIN" we can stop this "BLIGHT" and this "WILL" help everyone who lives here.
And I'm prepared to do everything I can to see it through, are you prepared to help me do this?
Staying or leaving, it's your choice
Whether you intend to 'stay or leave' by registering you will have the chance to add 25% to the value of your home but not only this. We are campaigning to get better facilities for the future to ensure Stanwell Moor is cleaner, with less traffic and less pollution. We want a better place to live in!
To be absolutely clear: This is open to everyone on our village, it is not only about profit for owners. It's about every single resident, whether you 'own or rent'. - STH is about lobbying hard to ensure this village and the people who live here, finally get the kind of community, leisure and transport facilities we deserve and make this village a place that benefits everyone. The campaign is to get the same compensation offer as Colnbrook and other villages. *We are not signing up to a compulsory purchase scheme and no-one has to move.
We are seeking to be placed within the Wider Property Offer Zone, which obligates Heathrow Airport to purchase homes on the village at 25% over market value, plus uphold their promise of transport links, green spaces, new community facilities, less blight and less pollution. Residents who want to sell in years to come will have the same promise. *So stay or leave, that is absolutely your choice!
However YOU DO need to Get Involved and Register Today.
We ALL Need To ACT NOW!
Funding so far and how we go on?
Everyone knows that I invested my time, resources and my own funds into the campaign without financial support. I did this because there was a time-limited opportunity for a fair deal for the village and the campaign had to be lodged by the 19th December 2017 or the opportunity would have been gone for a decade. However it's now come to a point where I need peoples support to allow me to continue to manage the campaign, develop the sites, purchase the products and services we need going forward.
Jon has stepped up to lighten some of the burden and he's been a much welcome help and we're proving to be a good team. - But here is what a few supporters have to say:
6 Resident Testimonials
1. LET'S BACK THIS:
"Jim has paid for everything, created the whole campaign, designed and developed the website, purchased the necessary software, paid for hosting, created the newsletter, researched Heathrow and purchased the marketing materials that we all get delivered. We must get behind this - BK Horton Road."
2. A ONE-OFF OPPORTUNITY:
"He realised there was an opportunity for all of us to get compensation from the airport (when no-one else did) and that if we all got together as a community and backed the campaign and built this website that we might win this and I fully support that. - So I'm absolutely 100% in! - SD Horton Road."
3. OUR VILLAGE IS A MESS!
"The village has changed and not for the better. With aircraft lower over our homes, now taxis, lorries and holiday parkers. We can't get in and out of the village, or even park because of the congestion. Noise and pollution is worse and now we have a waste plant. Heathrow lied! - Count me in DH Horton Road."
4. HE'S FUNDING US!
"This guy has put his money where his mouth is and has done all of this work without telling people they should pay to be part of this. Ask yourself (who would have thought of this?) - He has created something that we all can be part of and now needs to know he has your support. - No brainer, - HE, Spout Lane."
5. THE BOTTOM LINE:
"Jim has given us an option but if we don't back it this ends here. As what's the point in him shelling out more money to run a one-man-show? Its up to us now, or the chance of compensation will be gone. I don't know about you but I'd like the £100,000 that my 25% would give me in my bank!! - AF Horton Road."
6. A TOKEN DONATION:
"£20 really?? - I'd pay £2,000 to even have half a chance to make Heathrow Airport pay for the part they played in ruining this village. We should have had the promise of compensation for living under the south runway decades ago and with this I think we finally can!. TB Hithermoor Road."
